20 Stories High Young Actors have been on a mission to find out the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth… about each other. And you can see the results for yourself in Tales From The MP3, a new work being performed at the Bluecoat until Saturday (December 8).When tensions within the company ran high, they decided to interview each other to find out the stories that made each member who they are today. Armed with MP3 players they have created a "gritty, honest, funny and transformative piece of verbatim theatre", playing each other and recounting the stories direct from MP3s live onstage,The play has already impressed audiences during showcases at Contacting the World 2012 (Contact Theatre, Manchester) and the Truth About Youth Festival 2012 (Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester).Tales from the MP3 was created by the young actors of the company along with Julia Samuels (co-artistic director, 20 Stories High) and Elinor Randle (Tmesis Theatre). Julia said: “It’s been really incredible creating this show. The young actors are an amazing collection of people. Along the way, they have talked about their hugely differing experiences, but also found out how much they have got in common. I think the audience is going to be really bowled over by their bravery, and honesty in sharing their stories in this way.”For more information visit www.20storieshigh.org.uk or watch the trailer
