See, this is why we hate young people. Ideas like this. The Empire theatre has announced its new 'Ticket for a Tenner' initiative, allowing Liverpool students to see a host of its top touring musicals, comedy and more for just £10 a go (in case you couldn't have guessed).  A selection of shows are already confirmed as participating in the Ticket for a Tenner scheme. With valid ID, students can purchase special £10 tickets for the festive classic Scrooge (December 5 - 10), Monty Python musical comedy Spamalot (January 16 - 21), college-set smash hit Legally Blonde The Musical (February 7 - 11), and Matthew Bourne’s surreal and magical Nutcracker! (24 – 28 January 24 - 28). The £10 student tickets on many more shows across the Empire’s packed calendar are set to be announced across the coming weeks and on a continual basis from then on. Those wishing to purchase £10 tickets for eligible shows must present valid college or university ID in person at the box office. Andrew Rawlinson, general manager at the Empire said: “We're delighted to offer students the chance to see an eclectic range of top quality shows at a price to suit a student budget. I look forward to welcoming lots of new faces through our doors.”
