(Russell) Brand new date

(Russell) Brand new date

Love him or hate him? The jury's back in and Liverpool has gone for the former, as Russell Brand has announced a second date of his upcoming Messiah Complex world tour in the city. It won't follow on directly from his scheduled show on December 12, but will see him returning in the new year (February 15, to be exact). Tickets for both gigs, at the arena's smaller Auditorium space, are on sale now. Momentum is growing for Brand's first proper world tour. Messiah Complex examines the lives of Che Guevara, Gandhi, Malcolm X and Hitler, and "looks at the importance of heroes in this age of atheistic disposability. Plus there's sex. Obviously," runs the blurb. Bien sur. But there's none of that in this quite bizarre little plug from the man himself; possibly less to do with his not-so-glamorous pals, and more to do with those ridiculous pants.
