Sister Act tickets up for grabs in Nun Day stunt

"Sister Act The Musical is set to take Liverpool by storm from Tuesday May 22, and to celebrate we have 20 nuns visiting the city..." the promotional email ran. Well, that'll do MADEUP! It turns out tomorrow (Saturday) is Liverpool's first -- presumably last, and unlikely to be Vatican-approved -- Nun Day, and if you're in the city centre between 1pm and 5pm, you could win tickets for the show. Perhaps tempting some Father Ted-style comedy mishaps, the release continues: "The 20 nuns will be shopping, dining, visiting attractions, having coffee and appearing in unexpected places in Liverpool One and Albert Dock." Right then! There will be four sets of four tickets to be given away in a prize draw. All you have to do is get hold of a stamp collection card from either Liverpool One info centre, Albert Dock Tourist Information Centre in Anchor Courtyard, Radio City Tower reception or from the Radio City crew who’ll be around the town handing out cards. Then search out the five groups of nuns (I can't believe I'm writing this), get your card stamped and when you have all five stamps, hand it back in to be in with a chance of winning. Let's face it, if you can be bothered doing that, your odds are probably quite good. This first ever UK tour of the hit musical comedy Sister Act, produced by Whoopi Goldberg and Stage Entertainment, arrives at Liverpool Empire on Tuesday May 22 and runs until Saturday June 2. It stars Liverpool's own Michael 'Sinbad' Starke, Coronation Street’s Denise Black as Mother Superior, and Cynthia Erivo as Deloris Van Cartier.
