Cardinal Burns Liverpool date announced
British Comedy Award winners and BAFTA nominees Cardinal Burns have announced their first-ever national tour, calling in at the Epstein on October 2. From Rachel and Yumi to Banksy, Turkish Cabbies and the Office Flirts, join Cardinal Burns for their mix of obscure and dark characters, hot on the heels of the brand new series of their Channel 4 TV show. Cardinal Burns are multi award-winning sketch and character duo Seb Cardinal and Dustin Demri-Burns, whose self-titled show first aired on E4 in 2012. After meeting at film school in Edinburgh, Seb and Dustin established themselves as sketch writers and performers on the comedy circuit before making their mark at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009 and breaking onto the major festival circuit. In 2011 they began working on their first television series from which they received three British Comedy Awards nominations in 2012 – the most-ever for first-time nominees - eventually walking away with Best Sketch Show, whilst scooping two Broadcast Awards and a Loaded Lafta in the same year. In 2013 they were nominated for a BAFTA and the Rose d'Or award for comedy. And they've got friends in high comedy places - As well as their own series, they have appeared together in Steve Coogan’s Saxondale, whilst individual credits include Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, I Give It a Year, Kill Your Friends, Psychobitches, and Ricky Gervais's Life’s Too Short.
