Come up to the LABB

Take a nostalgic trip filled with laughs, tears and grown-ups acting silly with new writing group the Writers LABB with their latest night of short plays. On Tuesday February 18 members of the Writers LABB carry on from their successful ‘pub’ themed night as they explore the subject of childhood.Four writers have been tasked with creating four pieces of short theatre performed and directed by local actors. The 2013 generation of the Liverpool Everyman’s Young Writers programme are carrying on where the now-disbanded Annexe Writers before them took off, "to fill the void of cheap affordable theatre and make a stamp on the burgeoning theatrical scene in Liverpool".With Childhood, they say, the writers hope to "recapture the friendships, the freedom and boundless dreams that we all miss so much and would give anything to have again". The four plays for the night are A Genuine Bond by Joel Whitall, Sleeping Knights by Matthew Gabrielli, Friends Reunited by Alex Joynes and The B.A.D Club by Ruth Hartnoll. All of the LABB’s short nights are performed in House on Bold Street.Admission is £3 on the door  - get there early for a free glass of wine.
