Here's a gallery of pictures from the Unity theatre's Christmas show, The Voyages of Sinbad the Sailor. The colourful and imaginative new production brings together some up and coming talent from the likes of Hope St Ltd to tell the rip-roaring tale of our Arabian hero. Using physical theatre, puppetry and song, Sinbad takes us across the seven seas and beyond, in search of a fortune and his true love. Will he defeat the gruesome Captain Kora, or realise faithful Khaladen is a friend indeed? Directed by the Unity’s own artistic director Graeme Phillips, written by playwright Jeff Young and with new songs by Patrick Dineen, it has proved such a success that Sunday shows have recently been added to the programme. A sweet family show perfect for younger children, it runs at the Unity until Sunday, January 22.
