MADEUP in 2015

So, it's February already - probably far too late for a 'happy new year', but it's a starting point for the rest of this post really, so there you go. The more eagle-eyed reader - if, indeed there are any left - may have noticed a distinct lack of new posts here at MADEUP, and hopefully with good reason (should anybody be missing it).Early in December, before you could so much as say 'panto season', my new little son Ben made his way into the world and has, as babies do, changed the game. (I was sat at home updating the site not realising I'd gone into labour, at one point.) With that in mind - and obviously, it's hard to have much else on one's mind at this stage of things - it's hard to say what the future might hold for this blog.The idea is to keep going with MADEUP whenever and however possible, but doing so on the same scale as before is quite unlikely, at least for now. I'll still be making efforts to get out and about, but quite what will be achievable in reality with the time I now have, and how that impacts on the relevancy of the site, is just something I'll have to wait and see.MADEUP has always been a one-woman show, run unpaid and in spare time for kicks and giggles. But since 2010 it has carved a niche that has not only served a purpose in Liverpool's arts scene but been recognised as one of the top ten theatre blogs in the country by media database Cision. With almost all other entries on the list dedicated to sites serving London and the West End, that's quite an achievement for a teeny regional endeavour even if I do say so myself. (*polishes invisible badge*)There might not be as many new stories and reviews going up for now but I hope there will still be a point to keeping it going. Please do keep checking in and contacting info@madeup.lv with news of your productions. I may be more useless at replying to emails even than previously (and apologies if you're still waiting, btw), and simply won't be able get out to see as much as before, but I will still try to do what I can, when I can.Cheers,Vicky (and Ben)
