Sarah Millican on the way to the Phil

Sarah Millican on the way to the Phil

It's been all go for comedian Sarah Millican. No sooner has she finished her most recent Edinburgh Fringe show (for which she was nominated for the Foster's Comedy Award), than she's hitting the road on the biggest tour of her career so far.

Millican has been a staple on the stand up circuit for a few years now and often pops up at Rawhide and Laughterhouse, but she's never played a theatre venue - until now. She's just announced a show as part of her gruelling Chatterbox tour at the Philharmonic Hall, although sadly we'll have to wait until March 4 until she makes it over here. Before then, she plays Southport Theatre on February 12. It's great news for Millican and great to see a female comic take on a tour and venues like this - and she joins a strong comedy line up at the Phil, which over the next few months will be hosting gigs from Rhod Gilbert, Al Murray, Dara O' Briain and Frankie Boyle (see here for details). Tickets for Sarah Millican's spring tour go on sale tomorrow (September 3).
