Storytime with Santa offers theatrical ‘alternative grotto’
Keeping with the festive theme, up-and-coming Company Theatreface are hosting an "alternative Christmas grotto" in north Liverpool this weekend.Storytime with Santa aims to offer a more substantial and affordable experience for families with young children.Running from tomorrow (December 8) through to Sunday (December 10) at Firwood Waterloo Rugby Club, the performance, by local writer Jennifer Campbell, invites little ones to sit around the fireside with Santa and his elves, and hear the story of the fearful night that Christmas was nearly cancelled.One of Theatreface's founders (and elf) Carl James Fowler said he was inspired to do the project after a family member paid for an expensive grotto visit that lasted less than two minutes.To that end, Storytime with Santa is £5 per child for the 25 minute event, including a photo opportunity with Santa and the elves.Tickets are available through Eventbrite or the rugby club direct.
