The Poisoner's Progress at the Casa

The Casa bar's own bunch of players Burjesta Theatre present their Christmas show this week - and true to form it's something a little bit different.The Poisoner's Progress is described as "a bittersweet romance of all things sugary", with a night that unfolds in the style of an advent calendar. They say:"See the chemist who came up with a novel way to rid himself of unwanted love! Wonder at the myth of the ‘Sugar Cane People’ come from the Pacific Islanders – from whence all life originates! Ever imagined what a fizzy drink is doing to your body? Find out as the stage is transformed into a giant liver! And how Queen Elizabeth the First and her craving for sugar led to a whole new fashion – for black teeth! Plus White Christmas and Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off, but not as you’ve ever heard them before!"Quite how they're going to pull all that off in the back room of the Casa is anyone's guess, but if you're curious, you can catch the show from November 29 to December 2.
