Burlesque, boylesque, bearlesque...

...The next Martini Lounge has got the lot. Liverpool’s foremost burlesque and variety night will return for not one but two shows over Valentines weekend – on Friday and Saturday February  15 and 16, after sold out performances last year proved that one night was simply not enough. The Lounge’s scheduled June and October outings will also boast both Friday and Saturday performances, plus the new format will also see the return of Saturday workshops featuring one of the weekend’s talented performers.Their Valentine’s Weekend Spectacular will see the Epstein Theatre become the most romantic venue in town, so they say. Chocolat The Extraordinaire, the UK’s first black neo-burlesque performer, has shimmied and shook her way across some of the world’s finest stages. With routines described as' inventive, comedic and terrifying', Crimson Skye will be adding some devilish delights to the proceedings. And Martini Lounge certainly isn’t just about the girls - for Valentine’s Day weekend also brings the tantalising  high-flying acrobat master  Edd Muir, who Martini Lounge organiser and performer Millie Dollar herself describes as a “super hot boylesque pole act”. Edd’s aerial expertise has led him to perform in across the UK and with routines such as The Slammer! and his signature routine Diet Coke.Martini Lounge’s cheeky cupid Fred Bear is once again the evening’s host , and rounding off the weekend’s proceedings is Liverpool’s “resident Lady of Love and all-round Aphrodite” – ooer! - Miss Millie Dollar. Plus, we’re told, Millie has a very special surprise in store which guarantees this to be a must see event. Crikey. For info and tickets, visit www.martinlounge.co.uk.
