Improvathon and Spike Theatre stuff

If you really really must read another site about arts and culture in this city, let me direct you over to Seven Streets, where I've had a couple of things published recently that are worth a mention here. First of all, it turned out 800 words on last weekend's Improvathon couldn't even really scratch the surface of what a 33-and-a-half hour show made up completely on the spot is like to experience, but I had a stab at it. (Pictured above are cast members playing The Killing's Sofie Grabol, Helen Foster as Isabel End and Jonathan Monkhouse as Christian End). With cast members gathered from the likes of Impropriety, Come On Girls, Jollyboat, Random Acts of Wildness, Canadian improv gods DIE-Nasty and more, Improvathon was one amazing mix of comedy and madness that was topped off with the graphic below and a thank you to the late Ken Campbell, whom even director and comedy mucker of Mike Myers, Dana Andersen, credited as coming up with the concept of this bonkers event in the first place.
