LIVERPOOL-based physical theatre company Tmesis has announced it will premiere its latest production in the city this autumn.Beyond Belief will open at the Unity Theatre on September 28, continuing through to October 6.The performance piece examines what would happen if you could live forever - if you could bring your loved one back to life and resurrect their digital soul.Beyond Belief is described as "a powerful and moving journey into the unnerving future of life and death in our social media obsessed, technology blinkered society". With their trademark playful physical style, Tmesis will explore how we cope with loss in the digital age and how we won’t ever let Elvis die.Elinor Randle, artistic director at Tmesis, said: “I’m really excited about this new show, we have an amazing team on board and the subject is really interesting and current, as well as quite terrifying thinking about where we may be heading. I think it will be really moving for audiences, as well as having a usual dose of Tmesis humour in there.“We are delighted to premiere Beyond Belief as our longest opening run to date at the Unity, who have been an ongoing supportive partner of our work.”Tmesis Theatre is one of the UK’s leading physical theatre companies, and run Liverpool’s annual international physical theatre festival, Physical Fest. For more than a decade, Tmesis has developed a national and international reputation, receiving critical acclaim for their unique style of movement-based theatre.
