Peter Pan-demonium

Peter Pan-demonium

Swapping one singin', dancin', unexpectedly buff ex-Brookie star for another (see gratuitous pic), the Empire has announced that Philip Olivier will be taking over as the lead in this year's panto Peter Pan for the tail end of its run.Ray Quinn is currently doing his stint as the boy who never grew up, but it was announced yesterday he is now unavailable for the final dates. No official explanation has been given, but as Quinn is returning to TV show Dancing on Ice we can guess that caused a surely completely unforeseen (cough) scheduling clash. You can catch Olivier saving the day for audiences and Lost Boys alike on Jan 2 (2pm and 6pm), Jan 3 (2pm and 6pm), and Jan 5 (1pm).The Empire says: "We're delighted to welcome Philip to the wonderful panto cast." Completing the Brookside triumvirate, Louis Emerick stars as Captain Hook, with Pete Price (naturally) and Spike Theatre collaborator Shaun Mason also among the cast.Tickets are still available from £10, from the box office on 0844 871 3017 or at www.atgtickets.com/liverpool.
