Six new short plays from the Annexe Writers

Proving there is life after YEP, a group of graduates of the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Young Writers programme have teamed up to form a new collective, the Annexe Writers. They will present Remember, Remember, a night of six short plays this Tuesday (November 27). Fresh from the sell-out success of their inaugural production Fresh Starts and their work during this year's Everyword festival (The Incident Room), the writers return with their own evening of new theatre. This one-off night sees six playwrights responding to the theme of ‘remember’, creating six unique stories ranging from a young girl afraid of being forgotten, a man trying to forget a domestic trauma and two jobbing actors trying to get noticed.  The night will be scored by local musician Anthony Brown. Formed in 2012, the Annexe Writers is a group of 11 graduates from the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Young Writers programme. Looking to unite the city’s burgeoning acting, writing and directing talent, their aim is to produce bold, exciting and affordable fringe theatre to the people of Liverpool. Remember, Remember takes place upstairs at the Pilgrim pub on Pilgrim Street at 7.30pm on Tuesday (November 27). Entry is £2/ £1 concs including a glass of wine. For more information about the group, visit their website.
