The Annexe Writers present Myths

The Annexe Writers present their latest show Myths in the unusual venue of Maya, next to FACT, on May 28.Directed by Mark Till, Myths is the group's fourth night of new theatre in the city, and they're calling it their biggest and most ambitious yet. With plays by Laura Kate Barrow, Katharine Boon, David Cox, Katy Owens and Mark Pajak, the young writers unleash the full force of their imaginations in five unique plays – from a girl stitching wings to a boy’s back so he can fly, to a town living in fear of sinister creatures known as Dogheads – performed by emerging local actors and scored by musician Matthew James Arnold.Formed in 2012, The Annexe Writers is a group of 11 graduates of the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Young Writers Programme. Uniting the city’s burgeoning acting, writing and directing talent, The Annexe Writers aim to produce bold, exciting and affordable theatre for the people of Liverpool. Myths is just £3 on the door. For more information, find them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter: @annexewriters #annexemyths.
