The Suitcase Ensemble is hosting some creative workshops dedicated to the local legend of Spring-Heeled Jack, described as "a proper Victorian Bogeyman (....or was he?) last spotted clinging to St. Francis Xavier's church in Everton".

The collective will be inviting the community to explore the man, the myth, and the mystery in a free event at West Everton Community Centre on Bute Street on Thursday, April 12 (6.30pm-9.30pm).

The session is open to performers, artists, musicians, or anyone who'd just like to get creative. All skill levels welcome, and no experience is necessary. Suitable for anyone aged 16 years and older.

The Suitcase Ensemble say is it a chance to "write some lyrics, build your own monster, and shape the tale we will tell..."

For more information contact julie@suitcase-ensemble.com or call/text 07 916 920 415.

For those keen to get more involved, participants will be invited to attend an optional follow-up workshop and present and perform at the launch of Everton's Out of the Blue festival (the workshop is on Thursday, April 17 6:30pm to 9:30pm, with the event on Friday, April 20 between 1pm and 4pm)

All workshops are wheelchair accessible, open, and free of charge and staged with support from West Everton Community Council and Hope Street, Ltd.
