Halloween scares at Croxteth Hall
Ullaloom was formed nine years ago by members of the Hope St Physical Theatre programme. The company says they "have a penchant for the dark and the mysterious". Previous work includes the Grand Guignol-inspired Macabre, Bram Stokers Nightmare…Dracula, and more recently The Dark Room in which a Victorian photographer re-enacts the gruesome story of Bluebeard. Under the guise of their sister company; Petite Ullaloom, the company have co produced the highly successful Snow Queen for the Unity theatre, as well as Spooky Tales (terrifyingly ghoulish theatre for brave children). They will also be writing The Red Shoes for this years Unity Christmas show. But for now, What Stalks the Night? is a new venture for Ullaloom, creating theatre in non traditional performance venues. It is written and performed by Filippo Fiori. The event is suitable for brave children and braver adults, but those of a nervous disposition are warned that there are many records of supernatural occurrences in the ancient house, and who knows what may be listening and what stalks the night..?Tickets for the performances on October 16th and 25th, at 7pm and 8.30pm, can be purchased through the Unity Theatre priced £10/8 concession. Car Parking is available via Croxteth Hall Lane entrance. Unity theatre box office number is 0844 873 2888.
