Picture gallery: Runway - the Justice Vogue ball
Here's another gallery of fantastic pictures, this time from last weekend's Vogue ball held at Nation. The event proved to be one of the most talked about nights in Liverpool this year, exposing the unsuspecting audience to everything from the fabulously OTT House of Garlands drag queens to a totally nekkid solo dancer, not to mention the sight of host Rikki Beadle-Blair in a skin-tight, florescent pink leotard. And among the laughs, beautiful bodies and eye-popping costumes (or lack thereof), there was some amazing dance talent - not just from professionals including organiser Darren Suarez, but from up and coming talent from LIPA as well. It was a superb night - we're already counting down the days until the next one.
But if you just can't wait for a bit more Vogue, Darren Suarez, along with choreographers Gary Clarke and Marc Brew will appear in the Man Made Triple Bill at the Unity on Thursday 11th November as part of the Homotopia festival and the LEAP2010 year of dance. Suarez will perform his MDI and Culture Liverpool 10 for 2010 commission B-itch Switch, with which he kicked off the ball.
Many thanks to Matt Ford for permission to use the pics.
