Here are some pictures and video from The Day the Earth Tipped, a live piece of aerial theatre that took place in the grounds of Liverpool's Anglican cathedral last night. Performed by the city's own Wired aerial theatre, it was an ambitious and earnest piece about the dangers of ignoring the warnings of climate change. Although perhaps slightly too serious and political for Saturday night entertainment in Liverpool (see the picture of the girl running along a graph of climate change stats), it was clear this the 45 minute piece, billed as 'a disaster movie in the night sky', has a big future and is surely destined to tour Europe spreading its powerful message. You can catch it again tonight (Sunday, July 31) at 10pm. Here's a taster:
